Meet Our Exceptional Owner: Megan Campbell

Miss Megan Marie Campbell started taking dance lessons at the age of two at the Toni Zeakes Performing Arts Centre. Megan studied jazz, tap, ballet, pointe, lyrical, hip hop and gymnastics for over 17 years. She attended St. Clairsville High School where she was a member of the cheering team for all four years. During her high school cheering career, her team became three-time OVAC champions. Megan also lettered in cheering all four years of high school.

After graduating from St. Clairsville in 2008, Megan attended Ohio University and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. Megan has coached at both the middle school and high school level of cheerleading for over 16 years. Megan has been an All Star cheer coach for 7 years and is the proud owner of MC Royalty All Stars. Megan has also and will continue to help judge numerous cheering tryouts, cheering competitions, baton competitions and queen of queen pageants throughout the Ohio Valley.

As a dance teacher, Megan feels that it is important for her students to feel confident, motivated and inspired. She wants all of her students to succeed and enjoy their hard work and dedication they put into dance. Megan teaches all genres and types of dance to students of all ages. Megan has competed in Dancing with the Ohio Valley Stars for several years and has won People’s Choice Award three times! She also participates in the Lip Sync Challenge every year to support A Special Wish Foundation.

From being a student of dance, to then becoming a teacher of dance and part of such a wonderful staff has been great. All of my dreams became reality when I purchased the studio and became the very proud owner of Studio MC Performing Arts Centre. Megan expresses, “The thing I love absolutely most about the dance studio is all of the people whom I get to share it with. You cannot get any luckier when your passion and career fall together. As a dance teacher/studio director, I love seeing all of the same things within my students I felt when I started my very first dance lesson many years ago. Being able to work with students who possess such wonderful talents and passion and have a great deal of potential is truly an honor. Dance is something I love and something I cannot live without. I am beyond thankful I have been given the opportunity to share my love of dance with so many wonderful dancers, parents and friends."
